The sun is setting on an incredible, exciting, exhausting and emotional time for me. Last Tuesday I put up my first exhibition at The Erin Art Centre in Port Erin.
After a few hours of panic and stress we had an amazing preview surrounded by some very important, special family and friends who gave up their Tuesday evening to come and support me. I honestly don't think the day could have gone better! I need to say a big Thank you to Will and the whole team at the Erin Art Centre for all there help and support and it was a very nice touch to see my name up in lights.
The exhibition is open for the rest of August and seems to have been received very well so far including by the local press with an interview on Manx radio and features in both the Manx Independent and Manx Tails.
This weekend also saw Peel host the annual Traditional Boat weekend which I have been part of for the last 2 years and love supporting. This year I was honoured to have my design on children's t-shirts and I was blown away with how good they came out. What pleased me most was my son's reaction to mummy's drawing on his t-shirt!
My final emotional roller coaster came as my son attended his preschool graduation party (yes apparently that's a thing!) So proud of the funny smart and kind boy he is developing into, as well as being just a tiny bit excited about his love of painting... future family business maybe?
